Our client develops and supports broker management systems for insurance and financial services brokers across Canada. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Data Analyst to work with our Product management unit

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn client and industry demographic and perform market, and competitive analysis to drive product enhancements
  • Analyze traffic, services, metrics, patterns of market and competition
  • Perform and document the preliminary analysis of new enhancements/functionalities across all product lines
  • Gather requirements from clients, analyze the business needs, conduct cost benefit analysis and offer customer the best solution
  • Verify business and product requirements related to enhancement requests across all product lines
  • Participate in client-facing/internal group/forum discussions on new release planning and the development of enhancements across all product lines and liaise with Systems User (KSU) group
  • Participate in meetings of the product management team and work with solutions specialists
  • Participate in special projects: marketing campaigns, industry trends, benchmarking etc.
  • Provide support to Beta brokers
  • Keep product/release documentation up to date
  • Present/demonstrate ‘New Release’ updates to internal staff members
  • Participate in the development of ‘Best Practices’ with product management teams

Education:

College/Technical Degree or equivalent

Years of Experience:

5 years of work experience

Required Skills:

  • Strong data analysis and reporting experience
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Effective communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge and competency of MS Office products
  • Experience in excel – ability to write macros and reports
  • Details Oriented
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to demonstrate products

 Nice to have skills

  • Experience in Insurance or Broker management systems a definite asset
